The 2013 Cadillac XTS is barely out the garage and already the recalls have started. 12k cars have been recalled over the rear headrests which allegedly cause more neck injuries when in the lowest position.

OFFICIAL NHTSA RECALL CADILLAC XTS statement:

“The rear seat head restraints may not lock in the upright position after being folded forward. If the head restraint is at its lowest position and it falls forward, it will not meet the height required by the standard. In the event of a vehicle crash, the lowered head restraint may increase the occupant’s risk of neck injury. The dealers will replace the units made between October 2011 and August 2012. Contact your local dealer to be sure they have the parts in stock.

Will the new 2013 Cadillac ATS be next?
