TOP DEALS on CARS by CATEGORY

MICRO-SMALL CARS: 2013_ford_fiesta_4dr-hatchback_titanium_fq_oem_1_500 A MICRO-small car to me is a Honda Fit, Toyota Yaris, Ford Fiesta, Nissan Versa, Kia Rio, Mazda 2, Hyundai Accent, Fiat 500, SMART CAR, etc… Of these models, the KIA RIO and Ford Fiesta win for top incentives, warranty and overall bang for the buck. You can get $500 or 2.9% for 72 mos. on the KIA along with the 10-100k warranty or the Ford Fiesta with $250.00 plus 1000.00 matching if you put 1000 down or 1.9% for 72 mos.  You have to QUALIFY fro the interest rate! SMALL CARS : This would be the Corolla, Civic, Forte, Electra, Focus, Sentra etc… The Hyundai Elantra and Toyota Corolla have the best offers, with lots of 2013 models available at most dealers. The Hyundai has 0% for 60 or 1500.00 if you finance with HMF and take a 2.9-3.9% rate bump. The Toyota deal is 0% for 60 mos or 1000 customer cash, and I like the Corolla lease at 229.00 a month with first payment down. Even though you get a 10 yr/100k warranty on the Hyundai, the long term value of the Toyota is higher when it comes to resale value at 100k miles. about a 15% higher return. The Toyota feels heavier on the road and bigger inside, but the styling of the Hyundai is more “modern”. MID-SIZE SEDANS:  The Toyota Camry and the KIA Optima take the cake, but you may find it easier to find a 2013 Toyota Camry than a 2013 Optima right now. Same deal in the incentive ring as the Small cars: 0% for 60 on the financing, a 249.00 lease payment on the Camry and customer cash options depending on the financing you want. The Optima has better styling and the 100k warranty, but Toyota will give you 2 years free scheduled service (6 oil changes). SMALL SUVS and CROSSOVERS:  Man this field is crowded, and there are lots of new 2014 models that have launched earlier in the year, making 2013 leftovers hard to find, and 2014 deals thin.  IF you can find a 2013 Honda CRV or Ford ESCAPE, those are the two best options, with 0% up to 60 mos. The Ford offers an optional $1000.00 in custoemr cash (cannot be combined with 0%) and the Honda has .90% for 60 mos and 500.00 customer cash. Warranty is the same: 3/36k. The Escape is bigger and has cooler features but you can’t beat the resale value on a Honda. Both vehicles were restyled in 2013. 2014_ford_explorer_4dr-suv_limited_ri_oem_1_500 LARGE SUV:  That would be a Jeep Grand Cherokee, Highlander, Pathfinder, Sorento, etc. This category is also over-built and you will find as many choices as colors in a Crayola box. Here the best bang for you buck is a Ford Explorer or a KIA Sorento. However, be prepared to find slim pickings in the 2013 Kia as the new body 2014 arrived back in April. That said, both car companies are offering strong incentives to “BUY MINE!”. The SORENTO has 0% for 60 or 1000.00 customer cash on the 2014 vs. the Ford Explorer 2014 offering 2000.00 cash or 1.9% for 60 mos. That levels the price playing field, so go check them out. Both models have an optional 3rd row seat…   SUPER-SIZED SUV’s: NOT MUCH HELP HERE>>>The Chevy Suburban, Cadillac Escalade and GMC Denali all get new bodies and engines in 2013, so while the deals may be great on leftover 2013’s, beware, you ride will look old and lose more in depreciation than the rebates and incentives. There really aren’t any outright winners here because in this arena the 2000-3000 in customer cash don’t outweigh the body style impact n value. Outside of these, the Toyota Landcruiser and Mercedes GL are top dogs for 7 passenger, but the deals are limited to leasing offers under $999.99 a month. LUXURY SEDANS:  The  2013 Jaguar XF and XJ have the most money on the rebate/discount table, as much as $6000.00 bucks on the XJ and 4500.00 on the XF, plus great inventory and warranty. I have become a big fan since coming to know the new technology and Porsche mentality the company has hired to run their ship.  This is all about discounts and lease plans, there are no 1.9% deals on these beauty’s. LUXURY SPORTS CARS:  If you own a luxury sports car on a finance loan or lease, the deal is to grab the competitive incentive to swap brands. Porsche will give you a great deal to “pull ahead” you out of an existing Porsche lease , up to 3 mos or $4500 in payments.  911, Cayman, Panamera, Boxster,  This is all dependent on the make and model you are currently driving and the one you want to upgrade to. Same goes for Lexus and Mercedes Benz. The new BMW 3, now 4 series is coming this fall, so be careful about buying a 2013 3 series, as it will be obsolete in a few months. SMALL-MEDIUM TRUCKS:  The best bang for your buck in this arena is the Nissan Frontier, offering 500.00 customer cash rebate or 0% for 36 and 0% for 48/60 mos. The Toyota Tacoma owns 70% of this market, and has no reason to offer ANY rebates or incentives. BIG TRUCKS:  FORD owns this battle with a series of mix and match rebates starting with 500.00 and adding 1500 if you don’t take the 0% for 60 mos. or 1.9% for 72, but adding another 1000 in matching down and another 1000 for trading a vehicle, plus loyalty and conquest money. See the dealer for the best bang for your buck. FORD LAS VEGAS
