The 2014 Jaguar F-type arrives in Las Vegas! The silver bullet slithered into place on a specially designed display for the limited showing of all new 2014 Jaguar F-Type pre-sale road tour. Only a handful of the 1000+ Jaguar dealerships were selected to showcase the car for a few days, no driving, just a mini-version of the international trade show events most clients never get to. The F-Type was this years sweetheart at the Paris Auto Show, where it garnered awards for Best In Show and Auto Week’s Editor’s Pick. The car was the star of a soon to be released movie by famed director Ridley Scott, and is the intended sung of in Lana Del Rey’s new title song: DRIVE, featured on Jaguar’s website and shown here as well.

More than Eye Candy: 2014 Jaguar F-TYPE.

Your immediate reaction is handsome, sex appeal. No matter who is driving, the car will turn heads and get all kinds of attention for its great looks. A tap on the gas emits a growl and back-flow exhaust pop reminiscent of a race track.  The appointments and  finish demand a monogram on the door to match your family crest.  The prices fit the engine variations: a 340hp v6, starting at $69k, followed by the 380hp SUPERCHARGED v6 where add-ons escalate to $72,000-$75k and then jump to$ 85,000 plus with the monster engine the road-eating v8s at 495 hp.   Weighing in at 4200 pounds and just 8″ shorter than the Jaguar XK, this car has no back seat for groupies but enough trunk space for that weekend away on the Las Vegas strip. Driving along in traffic the car behaves perfectly, but let this baby off the leash and the Jaguar racing heritage comes through like a thoroughbred. As in the grand-daddy E-Type of classics past, the F-Type is destined to take its place in the trophy case twenty years from now. This is the first roadster I have seriously lusted for in a LONG time. Dealerships are placing orders now, to be delivered in late July. The car goes on sale officially May 23rd, 2013. ——————————————- Sarah Lee Marks is MyCarlady. She has over 23+ years of experience.
