Approximately 30% of all dealerships will be open on July 4th in Las Vegas/Henderson Nevada.
Nationally that number pales as the luxury brands; Jaguar, Porsche, Mercedes Benz, BMW, Acura, Lexus, INFINITI tend to be closed as those typical client car buyers have left town for the weekend (starting last week :)
Depending on the dealership owners and area of the country, some dealers have elected to give their employees a day off and re-open with BIG sales Friday-Saturday and for some Sunday (not in Nevada).
Factory incentives are scheduled to run through the weekend, and some are through the month of July 2013.
It is unlikely rushing away from that family picnic will save you ANY discernible dough. You MAY miss a car, if the inventory in the make and model you want is limited, however, in the case of big brands like: TOYOTA, NISSAN, HONDA, FORD … it’s MORE THAN likely there are plenty of 2013 left-over models at this point in the summer, to get you what you want in the next week or so.
Also, if you have challenged credit, there are NO BANKS open to approve you on the spot, so beware if you are taking the car home today, you could be called back for a re-sign if the terms are not approved.
Better to get pre-approved BEFORE taking the car home, if at all possible. (saves on time and embarrassment).
