Chrysler PRICELOCK 2.99 gas guarantee… Reading the various blogs including www.thetruthaboutcars.com you find comments like this… “There’s more fine print, but here’s the big kahuna: Chrysler buyers get the card in lieu of “other incentives.” Do the math, compare gas cash saved over three years vs. money not saved by discount, and, as the bard once said, “things are not always what they seem; milk can masquerade as cream.” Anyone want to make any guesses on how much this deal will end-up costing Chryslerberus? Oh, and don’t forget depreciation. Once ChryCo files for C11 the cards will be worthless. Of course, at that point, trade-in values won’t be anything to write home about either…” Yes, the Chrysler LETS REFUEL AMERICA Pricelock guarantee 2.99 a gallon includes diesel! Yes you can still get some EXTRA BONUS cash incentives to help those folks buried, upside down or owing more on their current vehicle than it is worth. The Pricelock 2.99 gas guarantee is PLUS the Lifetime Warranty, the lease loyalty and lease incentive interest rates and other incentives that are offered to consumers belonging to Chrysler affilaites and affinity groups. When you do the math on these programs; www.letsrefuelamerica.com , weighing the amount of gallons per year the car/truck/van/suv is supposed to use in MPG as listed on the window sticker, than it DOES pencil to be MORE actual cash value as the price of fuel continues to go up. Some folks have been concerned about how the DEALERS will ruin the program… At this point the dealers need every car deal, so I don’t see them jerking this program around, HOWEVER, you do need to be sure YOU, as the customer, REGISTER YOUR VEHIcLE online or by phone as soon as you leave the dealership! You have a 1 month window to log-in and set yourself up or you LOSE it. For a now hassle deal check out www.mycarlady.com]]>

where you buy a dodge and get 2.99 per gallon
read the fine print
for the first 12,000 per year for 3 years
check it out
lets say gas goes to 4.50 a gallon
4.50 – 2.99 = 1.51 savings per gallon
most cars are getting 30 miles per gallon now days
for the first 12,000 miles would mean
12,000 = 30x (assumming that 30 average MPG)
thats means that you can only get
400 gallons of gas a year at 2.99
assuming gas is 4.5 a gallon
you will get a savings of $1004 every year in gas
and in 3 years if the price stays the ssame
you save $3012 of retail price
itsj ust another way of doing the whole MANUFACTOR REBATE
the people who made this up are making millions of dollars this new way of looking at things have people going crazy.
Now ask yourself do you really want a JEEP? or a new DODGE ?

I kinda doubt a lot of jeeps or dodges are getting 30 mpg, although they still probably aren’t looking to do you much of a favor.
I was looking at many differnt cars as I needed to replace my 1980 Mercedes. I saw an ad for a 2008 Dodge Caliber for only $9991. It had $1500 rebate from Dodge, $1000 rebate if I had bought a car from this dealer before (I hadn’t) and $500 for Military discout (not me again). So the car MSRP was $14580 (NO second sticker)and they were selling it to me for a total of $12991 minus the $1500 from Dodge $11491. This car was a Caliber SE (bottom of the line) but I love it. With my tax and licence out the door, NOTHING down I only paid $12610, way below MSRP of $14580.
I also get the $2.99 gas for the next 3 years and my car gets alotted 500 gallons per year. This will save me $755 buck per year if fuel remains at $4.50 per gallon (it won’t) This will save me a total of at least $2265 over the next 3 years. I think this is a very good deal. I get my cheap fuel even if my car is sold or totaled. I can use it in any car I like and shop at nearly any gas station. All of these things made the new Dodge my new car.
I’m a very happy consumer!
Ignacio, you really aren’t too bright, assuming a STABLE gas price of $4.50 a gallon. Right now gas where I live it is $4.55 and RISING. How long will it take for it to reach $5.00. There is also nothing keeping you from using it for other vehicles.
You may be a geek, but once again, NOT TOO BRIGHT. I personally would NOT ask you for ANY business advice
Vulture your a IDIOT.. 5.00 huh.. Hmmm.. seems like gas is only 1.80 now… You are all idiots for thinking about getting this 2.99 gas.. What is dodge paying you money now.
