Don’t be ripped-off by Fake DMV registration services.

People representing themselves as DMV Registration services are popping up all over the valley.

FAKES? you ask. Yes. These people are not registered with the NV Secretary of State Document Preparation division.

MISSING SIGNAGE:  The Doc Prep department of the SOS of Nevada requires BIG SIGNS disclosing prices for all services.

These signs must include VERY specific language, especially when acting as a NOTARY. In some countries a Notario is a lawyer/attorney. Notary in the USA are not required to have an legal education.  Hence the NS240A statement: ““The Registrant is not an attorney authorized to practice in this State and is prohibited from providing legal advice or legal representation to any person.”

REFUND and Additional charges must be prominently displayed on the contract agreement.

MISSING RECEIPTS:   All contract agreement and receipts must include the following:

  • DMV fee estimate $$$:  your transaction must have all DMV fees itemized. These fees are seperate from the registration service fees.
  • Contract agreement date and Return of Documents Delivery date, Signature by the client (YOU) and the DMV Reg. Service staffer taking your money.

BEWARE OF SMOG SHOPS taking your paperwork, money and not giving you receipts properly completed. Your title is currency, do not give it to just anyone.
