#10 TOP TIP for 2020 Car Shopping- Make a CHECKLIST.

There are so many thing to think about when considering a new car, I recommend a checklist. You can make your own or email me to request mine. Use the check list when you are comparing makes and models. Once you have selected the perfect car, go over the check list AGAIN, next to the actual car. READ the Window STICKER, AGAIN.  Be 100%-1000% sure the car you are buying has everything on your list.

TRIPLE CHECK your list. Many times I hear about people who changed colors in the final moment, only to find out AFTER they got home the car was MISSING critical things they thought they got.  A deal on price could be the result of great negotiating skills or a missing feature on a different unit.  The salesperson can only be held to so much accountability.

#11. READ MyCarlady’ EDGE MAGAZINE article on Car Buying TIPS BEFORE you go Test Drive

New or Used, the car buying tips listed in this article can save you hundreds of dollars on your car insurance.  As we age, our insurance premiums go up, it’s a fact.  I recommend getting insurance quotes BEFORE you decide what cars to test-drive. Contact your insurance agent and ask if any specific features will get you additional discounts. If the answer is NO, contact an insurance broker or different agent and ask the same questions. You will learn alot about companies and agents.  After the purchase, be sure you spell out to the insurance agent, exactly what safety features your new car has, to be sure you get all the discounts.

AARP Driver Safety Classes can Save you money on your next CAR-Insurance

If you are over 50, consider taking the AARP Driver Safety class either in person or online for a minimal cost of $20.00. This will get you a discount for 3 years on your insurance. AND Take the AARP Smart DriverTEK class to learn more about these features before you buy. You can take SMART DriverTEK online or in your area. You DO NOT HAVE to be an AARP member to take the class. Smart DriverTEK is FREE!
