3rd party NV DMV registration services help consumers avoid DMV waits, hassles and frustration. The LVRJ article tells the story of these small, women, minority and veteran-owned businesses like MyCarlady’s Sarah Lee Marks.

Failing to admit that third-party services like MyCarlady are 3x more efficient for consumers than visiting the DMV themselves,  the DMV deputy field service manager chose to ignore the fact.  Instead he pointed to online and kiosk options for consumers. Repeating the cost of a service versus the free DMV, DMV management ignored the 60 day wait for an appointment, long lines on walk-up day (Saturday only) and regular computer issues.

Meanwhile consumers struggle with the DMV website, often finding themselves locked out of their MyDMV account. 3rd party registration services like MyCarlady answer calls from frustrated residents because DMV wont answer calls after 12 noon.

“We help navigate the forms and make sure all the paperwork is correct before we go in,” says Marks, “This reduces the number of repeat visits. Less visits means less staff. This should be something DMV would embrace and encourage when they can’t find qualified applicants. We know their paperwork better than many of their hires”

REGISTRATION AGGRAVATION!

Claiming staffing issues as the reason registration services have limited hours, DMV management refused to discuss the ability of 3rd party registrations services helping reduce DMV’s need for more staff by giving registration services more access.  Nevada Registration Services Association have begged DMV to allow its members become certified and real-time connected the DMV in real time, like Arizona and Californa tag agencies.

“DMV says the existing computer system can’t handle any changes, ” Sarah adds, “we have suggested many options to help alieviate thier staffing problems by using us. The DMV says not until the new system is completed in 2025.

Meanwhile, DMV asked the 82nd NV Legislature to approve funding for a new building. Located in the Southwest part of the valley, this building will replace Henderson’s American Pacific loacation.  VAlley Automall dealers are not happy with the loss of a DMV around the corner.

MYCARLADY  a DMV REGISTRATION SERVICE

Registration services are also asking the legislature to allow the use of DMV in their advertising, adding “registration services or a 3rd party registration service”, to help define legitimate operators from bad actors.
