SEMA 2010- The first day has already exceeded my expectations as the 2012 Lexus LFA was unveiled in the CEC Wheels booth, sporting ultra-light, ultra expensive custom designed (2 choices) 20″ rims on this hand-built 552hp 4.8l v10 SUPER sports car.
Along with over 30 exterior paint colors and 10 interior options including leather hides from hand-fed cows and personalized sport-tuning for the 200 lucky Americans opting to drop $475k on one this year. Who said anything about a recession? Parked next to a Fisker Karmaand a Mercedes AMG, the ultimate in expensive toys were on display for everyone to see, and drool over. As works of art go, these three were certainly in the Monet class of elegance. No jarring lines or psycho embellishments, everything about the Lexus LFA is balanced to perfection, a testimony to their selection of CEC as their wheel partner, a key departure for Lexus, co-branding with another supplier. KUDOS to both companies, let the SEMA attendees eat cake.
