Enter Sarah Lee Marks of
MyCarlady fame, offering to teach your teen the nuances and best practices to maintaining a safe, reliable ride.
“The SMARTeen Driver program gives every new driver the opportunity to learn how to check tire pressure and fluids, change an air filter and a flat tire, and appreciate the warning lights, sounds and smells that keep prevent major damage, if heeded in time. It seems I get one call a week from a parent asking me to help find a good car for their teen, because he or she burned up the family car through unknown negligence,” continues Marks, “Teaching, coaching and cars are in my DNA. The public schools are cutting back on high school driver education classes so now is was the perfect time to share life skills about cars with the new drivers on our roads. Keeping them safe and in the know is better for all of us.” Findlay Toyota Marketing Manger Stephanie Bernas adds, “We are a family -owned company and proving community service programs like this is part of our mission to improve the quality of life for everyone in our area. This is not a sales pitch, it’s a must know rules of car ownership everyone should learn by doing, and not when it’s during a crisis. We are proud to be able to share our facilities for this teen car care clinic.”
