Such was the case last night (12/3/15) when Chop, the CEO of Towbin Automotive stopped by a SMARTeen DRIVER event to address the car buying process and car careers for women.
GIRL SCOUT EDITION FIAT POP
For the event, Towbin Fiat annotated a 2016 FIAT POP with the Girl Scout insignia.Leading by example, many of the female staff of Towbin Fiat/AlfaRomeo were on hand (sales, parts, finance) to talk about getting a start at Towbin, when no one else would hire women in car dealerships in Las Vegas. And true to his family-owned and operated agenda, promoting success was demonstrated by the many women managers present.Empowerment is Learning by doing is SMARTeen DRIVER way
Troop 190, heard from Chop, Sarah Lee Marks about graduated licensing, insurance and costs of car ownership, all topics heavily featured in the curriculum for a badge in CAR CARE.After the discussions, it was time to glove-up and follow Brain, the lead technician at Towbin FIAT/AlfaRomeo to the garage, where every girl learned how to check oil, filters and tire pressure, fill a low and handle a flat tire. From the latest in run flat technology to changing a spare tire.

Local News station FOX 5- WVVU was on hand to interview Chop about the program and his efforts to encourage teens to look to the automobile industry for future employment.
