This Memorial Day is a boon for Honda, Nissan, Toyota Import Car Shoppers.

Toyota, Nissan and Honda dealerships have a huge inventory and lots of rebates and special offers to lure the  active car shopper onto their lots.

SEDANS DELIVER BIGGEST DEALS

Nissan has the strongest promotions on 0% for 60 and 72 months an almost all models (sorry no GTR). Yet their classic big sedan, the MAXIMA was not made in 2015, and the 2016 isn’t out yet. So the v6 luxury sedan lover is stuck with the Toyota Avalon  or the Honda Accord, both slightly refreshed last year.

Camry, Altima and 4cyl Accord are pretty close on lease payments, with Nissan and Toyota being more aggressive in customer cash rebates and low interest rates for long term Honda is still holding out on 36 mos. for 0% and 1.9% for 60.

SMALL SUV’S MOST POPULAR AMONG MEMORIAL DAY SHOPPERS

The new Honda CRV is a winner, and as Consumer Reports SUV of the year, you can FORGET any rebates r special programs. Be happy to get a discount off the MSRP, if you can ;-), as supply is limited, especially when it comes to lane departure and other TECH features.

Nissan Rogue with its new body style is certainly shaking things up and with all the deals out there, giving RAV a run for the money. Rogue has more feature packages and inventory available so expect to save a couple grand over the Toyota. To the Rav’s credit, it does feel heavier in the ride, handles crisply for a suv, but is smaller and narrower inside.

The Kia Sportage and Hyundai Tucson are certainly good options in the Korea playlist, but prices are no longer a big difference… warranty and credit may win-out for those wanting an SUV but having some credit challenges. It appears that KIA and HYUNDAI will give loans to those with low 600′ auto scores, where the big 3 Japanese are sometimes reticent to do so, especially on leases.
